New Fiesta St - Advice On An Aftermarket Alarm / Immobiliser

Featured Replies

Hi folks, i decided to trade up my Black Edition and go for an ST-2 in Spirit Blue with the style pack. Now i want to make sure the thieving scum have a hard enough time tryin to pinch it ( if they decide to ) that i can either get to 'em while theyre at it, or they give up. Im going to put a disklok on it aswell.

So far the Viper system from Securemycar.co.uk has caught my eye. I figure its going to be a deterent with Viper Alarm and OBD disabled stickers plus a disklok on it as much as it will be a pain in the !Removed! to attempt. Works out to be about £650 with the tilt sensor and installation.

Anyone have any experience with these, or can recommend any alternatives that are as good, better, cheaper or all of the previous ?

Also will the Viper stuff get me a discount on my insurance ?

Cheers guys for any advice

Hukt

I'd advise physically moving the OBD port & removing the OBD fuse for good measure too

Yeah i did that on my current car, wasnt sure if the fuse would be needed for the after market kit, but the OBD plug will be removed, was gonna get my old man to wire a dummy to a live circuit to fry any fool tryin to tinker.
