Does New Instrument Panel Need To Be Programmed - Ford Focus 2006

Hi all

I am going to replace the instrument panel for ford focus 1.6 TDCI 2006. I am wondering if it needs to be prgrammed? I am going to replace it with a used one, of the same type.

Are there more things i need to be thinking of when replacing it?

    The cluster on your car is integral to the immobiliser system so will need coding with IDS.

    You will also need to get the mileage matched to your original reading but be aware that it may not be possible to wind mileage back, only forwwards.

    Ids is the Ford software and you will need the vcm interface too. Not cheap to buy but the only way you can change the cluster display is with it. Otherwise car won't start and display won't work

    Easier to buy a new ECU, clocks, key transponder ring, key, locks

    That way you shouldn't need to code anything
