New Tires

Featured Replies

I have a black edition fiesta and I'm in need of 2 new front tires ( 1 due to a nail and another to replace a cheap one after an accident)

Currently have the continental 205/40 R17 v84 XLs.

Anyone have any suggestions for 2 replacements? Looking at 92 per tire (fitted) for the continentals.

I can recommend Yokohama's R1, so far I have no complaints sins fitting them and have done 6000km so far

Check AVON, last time I bought tyres they were at least £20 cheaper then Continental Contact Sport 5 and had the same "A" ratings and spec.

The Avon's look okay for the price - as you say same spec. How's the wear on them?

Any downsides to running the 2 Avon's (Front) and 2 contis?

Look on tyreleader, blackcircles, camskill for good prices.

Michelin PS3 seems to be the most popular replacement tyre on fiestas with 17" wheels. £63-£65 on tyreleader.

Agree with Mark, check blackcircles and the like. The local fitter around here for blackcircles happens to be a Ford garage lol

I ordered from blackcircles recently. . . (recommended by people from here, thank you) and the delivery came early too, 2 days early.

Conti sport 5 all the way. Excellent tyre especially in the wet

Continentals if money no problem and a good tyre for the money I think is hankook

Can get the Avons £70.50 Fitted - tempted. £20 a tyre saving vs the Contis. hmmm

Agreed. In this size, they are the best road tyre. Performance on a very wet Castle Combe circuit was impressive.
