What is the best engine oil for my 1.6ltr focus 2010. It has done 58000. Fully synthetic or semi synthetic.

Ive  only had the car for 2 weeks

I put in fully synthetic 5w30 my car is a petrol 55 plate 1.6. So long as it meets the standards on the back(can't remember what it's called now) then you'll be fine,main thing is put in the correct grade for e.g 5w30. I put in Halfords own oil and it's just as good as castrol and the leading brands,if it meets the standards then there's no difference in makes

I use Castrol Fully synthetic in the fiesta, and that's recommended to have semi synthetic.. but for the price difference, why not?

Put the best in you can afford I say it's cheaper than a engine.

Halfords £12 was £25,if the specs are ok why spend loads on the likes of Casteral.Prior to buying this I did speak to couple garages and they both said go for it

Because there is minimum requirements for specifications.

Personally, as I get decent trade discounts I'd rather spend the extra and exceed the recommended specification.
