Faulty dials and non starting engine

Hi looking for some help, my 1.6 zetec mk1.5 focus has decided to stop working, the dials wobble on turning the key to the first position, and the car won't start it will turn over but the engine will not ignite. This happened after i moved the car in to the garage to do some work on it turned it off realise I wasn't close enough to where i wanted to be went to fire it up to move it and the car wouldn't start. The dials have wobbled on and off before just didn't think anything of it other than that the car drove spot on.
