Focus 1.6 2002 won't start

Hi people having some starting issues literally moved the car fine then went to move it again and it will crank but not start, i have checked the ignition and there is a spark, the plugs are all in good condition with correct gap and all are giving a nice blue spark, the fuel pump sounds as though it is priming correctly, tried my other key in case immobiliser had stopped working for some reason but made no difference, one thing i have noticed is that after cranking the dials wobble at zero to the point where it is audible and have been doing this on and off for a while especially in the cold but never thought much of it, what routes can i look at myself before calling out the local mechanic to tow it to be looked at?
