Cat

Featured Replies

Hi

can anyone help I have a 63 plate titanium X and last month the engine management light came on took it to ford and they replaced the cat. Since then every time I drive it the fan kicks in even at temps of -3 and driving 7 miles. Took it back to ford and they said I was worrying over nothing!

sounds like somethings amiss the fan if aircon isn't on shouldn't be kicking in at those temps at all its unusual for a cat to fail after 2 years so I think theres a bigger problem ford will fob you off so the warranty runs out then they'll hit you with a huge bill at 7 miles no matter if its a diesel or petrol the engines barely up to temp don't accept there excuses tell the it didn't do it before and you're not accepting there answer

Thank you for you advise I thought there definitely had to be something wrong. I may try another ford garage and see what they say.
