Is it possible to install a double din stereo into our beloved ka.

seen a few google pics, modifying the fascia a little, but dont have a double din stereo to know if it will fit the gap

anybody done this mod or tried?

Yes possible ive done mine there are loads of facia inerts you can buy blue , grey , black - i went ofr blue for my streetka.

The entire head unit pulls out.

i saw the video on youtube but didnt know how it could be done.

so double din stereo fits in perfectly, did you attach the t clip bracket to the rail hold it up or not. i assume you cut the fascia to make it fit.

No better pics at the mo but yes the t-clip is essential otherwise the unit tilts and pushes the facia insert out.

No need to cut i bought a custom one from ebay!

Available in 3 colours but doesnt fit that well but once the head unit was in it pushes the facia in and keeps it firmly inserted.

Have you got the link for eBay, coz I've tried and carnt seem to find anything expect the single din ones.

The guy was booted off ebay for some reason.

I think he was selling illegal number plates.

 

Its not a small job you would be better buying a single din with flip screen radio/dvd player as the Ka is really just a single din.

I've already got pioneer single din in it already just want, something abit more fun you can say.

I'll see my options maybe at a later date, when I got the funds.
