Replacing lost focus remote fob

So, I've lost my 3 button remote key fob for my 55 plate Focus. I don't want to pay Ford £££££££ for a new one and I've seen posts here about getting the but and reprogramming new fobs yourself?

    you can get of ebay and program to open the doors but they wont start the car

    As said you can buy a key from eBay cheap enough. Programming the remote can be done if you have an existing key. You need either Ford IDS or Forscan with a modified ELM327 to program the transponder in to start the car. Otherwise try local auto locksmiths to do a spare key for you.
