Help after fuel filter change

Featured Replies

Tdci 1.6 changed fuel filter, primed filter with fuel now won't start.

Any suggestions?????

Are you using a hand pump or just filling the filter with fuel?

Hand pump fuel comes out but won't start after priming

Hmm, ok, if you've got a helper, try pumping the hand pump while turning the engine over.

Also worth checking you haven't switched the inlet and outlet pipes over, I can't remember if they're different sizes.

Is the battery decent or has it been run down by failed starting attempts?

It's on charge now overnight. Pipes same size no indication of which is which. Is there anyway to check?

After full charge primed filter turned on and off half a dozen times then cranked engine, started after about 20 seconds.
