How do you disconnect this cable from 2003 Zetec throttle body bracket?

Hi chaps, I'm looking for advice about removing the cable pictured below from the throttle body bracket. I've already got the plastic clip unhooked from the prong on the TB itself.

Do you just pry it out from the other side, or is there some kind of clip to disengage or other hidden trick? I started prying with a large screwdriver and it seemed to start coming, but then I got a bit worried, so I just unbolted the bracket from the TB with the cable still attached.

Any insight gratefully received!
