Dawkins566
Im looking into upgrading my car and was wondering what is the best company/manufacturer to use? i know that mountune is good and keeps your ford warranty but ts so pricey! i have the 100ps ecoboost and was told it can be maxed out to 180bhp pushing it. i just need a price and company guideline to get me started. thankyou. Iam2deck
Depends what kinds of products your after, in terms of performance wise; Induction Kits; Auto Specialists (AS performance), Rsport, J1 & ITG are good starters. I personally have the Rsport from Pumaspeed. Exhausts; Milltek is most popular, good alternative is Cobra. Custom exhausts are another option, and are not as pricey as some people think, can even be cheaper than market leaders for off-shelf products like Milltek. Probably want to use Powerflow/EMP performance for custom builds. Remaps; Very open to opinion... and a lot of controversy. Revo, Collins Performance, Pumaspeed are all reputable places to get your car done. But again, there are custom maps and independant dealers too. ben1191
Mountune might be pricey and seem that they're peak power is lower than others claimed, but their power is usable and usually have more power where it matters. example, mr230 kit is only 15bhp more than an mp215,but through the Rev range at points the mr230 is producing up to 30bhp more, don't just look at peak figures ,read their graphs. wouldnt trust puma speed I've read a lot of bad on them,Colin's performance and revo are highly rated though.
Alzy
I was unsure if the 100ps could be re-mapped as all I've seen is 125ps+ being done. A few kits I've looked at state for 125ps upwards. (Bluefin for one) What's wrong with the 100ps it comes with? I have the same model and so far I'm happy with it as standard? Am I missing something or accepting it as normal.? Why didn't you get a ST?

Dawkins566
Alzy i would have got an ST but as I was only 17 when I got this fiesta my insurance was sky high and even looking at insurance prices now I've been driving for almost a year some insurance companies won't even touch me. Otherwise the ST was the first fiesta I was going to get. i love the 100ps standard it still makes some people wonder how it can be so quick for such a small engine I don't know I just want to make it quicker so people look at it like its standard then are shocked when I leave them behind haha

Why didn't you get a ST? The 1.0 100 & 1.0 125 are identical except the map. The 140 however apparently has a different head gasket? I'm sure Ian T could confirm or dismiss. This means the 125 maps should be fine on the 100. The 100 May be enough for yourself but I have the 125 and find it fun, yet lacking. I'm going for 180bhp later in the year with a Stage 2 revo map. The reason I didn't personally go for an ST is Free road tax on the ZS Insurance is dirt cheap even with mods Fuel economy is better even with mods I do 600+ miles a week commuting www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies
