Mk 6 Fiesta Door Lock Control (GEM)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Mk6 (2004, 1.4 petrol) three door fiesta. It has a control unit with the model number: 2S6T-15K600 BF. I wanted to get remote central locking so I bought another GEM from eBay with the code: 2S6T-15K600 DF. I fitted it and was able to programme in an old Mondeo keyfob and remote central locking now works. However, the door ajar light is stuck on even when all of the doors are closed.

Did I buy the wrong GEM?

Is there a work-around to turn the light off when the doors are closed?

Cheers,

Neil

GEM configuration is required for 3/5 door models,  you can do it using FORScan with extended licence.
As for GEM type, a Cx GEM would have been the correct one to use but they are rare.

The Dx type has double locking / alarm in addition to remote cl but should work without issue, again looks like you can turn off double locking with FORscan.
