Engine hose

Featured Replies

I just changed the rubber gaskets for the intake manifold on my focus, and during the process I broke a hose that goes into the engine. Engine starts, and air is coming out from it. It is safe to drive to ta part store? Can I change the hose myself ?

No not safe, from what I can see it looks like the vacuum pump pipe thats broke , therefore you will have no servo assistance on your brakes,

And the bit that's broke is part of the vacuum pump assy.

Is it something that I can change myself?

yep, easy enough, just 2 or 3 bolts hold it on

Any bits of advice? Trying not to brake anything else this time. Goggled it but can't find nothing on this kind of repair. Should I buy the whole pump or I can find just the plastic bit?

Comes as part of the pump
