Hi all, I'm new to this website I was looking for some guidance or advice, I have a ford focus Titanium 1.6 2011.

I seem to have a problem with my power fold mirrors, the indicator on the drivers side door mirror is really dim and only works with the door closed which also causes the puddle lamp to flash at the same time, now if I open the door the puddle lamp will stay on but will have no indicator light flashing on the drivers side at all.

I have been to Ford and they said I would have to pay for a new wing mirror costing £110 the thing that confuses me is both the puddle and indicator illuminate they just don't operate how they should making me wonder if I have a wiring problem instead  how do I go about diagnosing this hope I gave enough information any help appreciated thanks again.

    Sounds like a short/damaged wire.

    Is your car a mk2.5 or a mk3 ?

    Hi there its a mk3 never really done much electrical wiring but is this maybe a job for a professional or is it simple to fix?

    could be worth pulling the indicator bulb out and checking the immediate wiring...
