Hi

I have just bought a Mondeo zetec 1.8 tdci from a garage, they did cambelt and full service prior to pick up.

As I drove it home I noticed a space as I put accelerato down thought nothing of it went to start next morning it started but wouldn't keep going, rang the garage they picked it up took it back ran diagnostics NOTHING changed fuel filter cos they thought it may have hairline crack left it few hours and it ran well so they say, they brought it back parked it up I went to start it following moning started but wouldn't keep running I I keep doing that it eventually does start and stay started but I really cannot be doing that all time

so if anyone can please help me or advise me I would be so grateful as I do love this car

    take it back to the place you bought it from and demand they fix it, its your right.

     

    it could be anything from an intermittent fault with the crankshaft sensor, to a full on timing issue, or fuel pump fault.
