Ka Heater valve replaced but now overheating

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Recently bought a 2008 Ka 1.3 petrol, very pleased until it injected a load of steam into the cabin on the way home the other day, turns out the heater valve inlet and outlet pipes had sheared off, anyway, bought and fitted a new one (not a ford part) and all was hunky dory until this afternoon when the over temp light came on and I could only get hot air blown into the cabin, plus the radiator fan was on as well. I wondered if a piece of pipe from the old heater valve had found its way into the system and was clogging something up somewhere, but if anyone has any good ideas I would be very grateful.

Kind regards

Wigglyamps.

when you replenished the coolant, did you cycle it to remove any trapped air?
