Hi I have 1.8 tdci 2007 had same issue you will hear a wooshing noise when put foot down n turbo kicks in, it's the air getting out of the hole or split in the pipe just escaping and not getting enough boost.

i got quote for original part but looked on eBay and got a blue silicone one which is better n was cheaper.

if you remove the turbo pipe you will probs see split mine was at back couldn't see it until removed from car easy enough job to do yourself.

Just to be sure it's the plastic type pipe with like flanges on one end connected to the turbo

Looking at your pic you put on am guessing it's this I have edited pic so you can view pipe I mean.

the 1.6 n 1.8 are different but am guessing if you take off the two jubilee clips one each end this pipe n pull it off you will see a split
