Fiesta ST airfilter change

Featured Replies

Hello all.

My first post so please excuse the niavity.

If it has already been answered. Sorry.

I currently have a fiesta zetec 2010 1.4L. With a lot of mods on it which I plan to transfer a few things

I have just bought a brand new ST-3. It arrives in August.

My question is that the current cone k&n airfilter I have, will the the cone filter head be able to be fitted to the ST-3. Excluding the hose which I know will need to changed.

Basically trying to save myself the cost a new air filter head. Only having to buy the hose.

Thank you all in advance.

David

Probably not, you would need to replace the airbox lid with a MAF tube (about £20 for J1) but your filter is likely to be a differentdiameter to the STs MAF tube. If your filters neck is 70mm inside diameter it may fit

Yeah I noticed that the diameter differences between models. But surely if I retrofit a tube to fit it should be ok.

Obvioulsy thinking about the MAS sensor.

The tube I've already got has one. Just need to think about the tube down to the intake pipe.

Just making the diameter change.

Or getting a J1 tube. And making it fit.

The actual airfilter shouldn't make a difference should it. Only the diameter and how it gets connected?

regards
