Confused with big end shell sizes

Hi guys, this is my first post so hopefully I'm in the right section lol.

any how here go's

im in the middle of rebuilding my 2.2 tdci transit engine and found that my old big end shells are 24.45mm wide in the con rod and 23.15mm in the cap, my problem is that my new shells are all 24.45mm wide and I can't find an explanation  on the web. So do I just fit the new ones? or wait until Monday to get an answer from ford?
