Can anyone help. Just got a fiesta 1.4tdi 4 months ago and I only commute to work and back and now this warning light has come one saying fuel in oil. Can anyone help me

Check the oil level on the dipstick, and see if is too high, and what colour & thickness it has.

If the level is above max, urgent action is needed!

I do not know how it can tell there is fuel in the oil, maybe it just detects a rising oil level & assumes fuel is getting in. Perhaps it has some sort of oil quality monitor, but I have never heard of this on a car.

If your car has a DPF that uses regen cycles, then extra fuel can be put into the cylinders on the exhaust stroke to provide energy to heat the DPF and burn off the soot. I have heard of this getting into the oil somehow & causing the level to rise.

If there is an injector fault, or a DPF fault, then it is likely there will be further diagnostic codes inside the electronic modules.

DIY diagnostics are possible, beneficial, and not too difficult. I, or others here can assist with this if you want, but there may be a few technical & jargon barriers to overcome! Could save a fortune in garage diagnostics in the long run.

BUT: If you got the car 4months ago, check any warranty, and use it first.
