New fiesta (whats on is as standard)

Featured Replies

Was looking into the new'ish cars out now or even the new ones and most have the touch screen controls layout say for the radio/air con/phone etc.

Why aint ford done this on the cars now like the fiesta as a lot its a standard thing, dread to say it but like the new corsa and the peouget 208 and a lot more cars, even older reg's.

I have seen a few pics of the new fiesta but don't seem to have it again, ford seems to be a bit behind stuff these days as this would be one thing i would look at on it.

Fiesta's have looked meh for ages now, they're miles behind other car makes in the interior tech department, brilliant at everything else though.

I think they're going to make the next Fiesta something worth buying

have you driven a corsa or 208 ? way behind the fiesta in handling etc so swings and roundabouts. just before buying my ecoboost 2 weeks ago i looked at the corsa (had astra, corsa 20 yrs) but they fall down in the engine dept .still using old 1.2 / 1.4 n/a engines that are soooooo slow. the turbos are ok but still behind rivals.

french - forget it !

I read, I think in an Auto Express article, the new fiesta (2017/2018) model is more upmarket. It'll have a new interior with more 'Big car' gadgets and also a large touch screen display replacing the current tiny display

Gadgets don't interest me; driving and handling do.

I'm the other way round,i like a nice few on my cars as i don't get the true handling out of any car i have being i mainly take

my elderly dad out who i care for so as long as it drives well (smooth) and got some nice stuff on it that does me.

I will give my opinion next week on the new corsa as i have one for a courtesy car as mine in for service.

Drove the 308 but not the 208,my old 09 corsa was shocking as so many thing went wrong and very bouncy even on slight bends.

I just looked at a few pics on the new 2017 corsa and cant see any touch screen and stuff, may be an option but std.would be good as most do it now.

Just seen this after looking around, some sites showing the sales are hit and miss but this is dated June 2016.

Ok here it is,just had the courtesy car as mine in for service, yes a new corsa 1.4 petrol.

First 2 things i HATE is the gearbox and the steering, steering like goes in stages not smooth from full lock and gearbox is like its going

through a rubber gate, seems springy,my fiesta like clicks into place so you know your in gear, sorry not for me just on them 2 things alone.

I like the touch screen radio stuff and the clocks are a lot better than the old corsa and it is very quiet like a lot less road noise but i can sum this up easy.

Its not a fiesta/ford in any way and it don't even come close,i have a 2011 titanium fiesta and would not swop it for this 16 reg mess.

hi jace , was it the n/a or turbo engine you drove (should be turbo badge right rr tailgate) ? all the n/a are poor but vauxhall do sell them in huge numbers.

its the 1st year in over 20 years i changed from vauxhall to ford and i dont regret it one bit..the ecoboost is miles ahead.

Its the non turbo, lets just say foot flat down and like its screaming for help as it just wont go,still a dam heavy car and to be fair the inside is a lot better

but its just not nice to drive,i could not be in it for a long run,i think vauxhall works backwards from interior then the drive is last to sort out, shocking handling.

I was like you that i had vauxhall for a good 10 years and last one being a 09 corsa design then onto this fiesta, did always have ford before.

mine aint even the eco-boost but wanted it being the 1.6 and loads of toys and the engine is so quiet and nippy, eco would be next if and when.
