I'm sure I've been told before cars that have headlight units with the halogen DRL (h15 bulb) can't be upgraded/simply swapped out for the headlight units with the LED DRL...

I love the look of the LED DRL's. Always wanted them! Just wondering if I heard right? Can they be swapped?

It can be done! I'm sure @GingerFlame was going to have it done, not sure tho.

I think you just need to take it to Ford and get them to program your car to the new lights. Probably helps if you know someone at Ford that could do it for you.

Ah right! Interesting! I do know a lad I went to school with who works there, but unsure what department... Hmmm...  Need a new headlight anyway, so might invest in these 😏

The lights themselves are plug and play.

BUT the LED Drls will be in reverse for dimming. Ie, when they should be bright they'll be dim, and when they should be dim they'll be bright. This is usually an MOT failure as they'll be brighter than all the other lights.

Needs to be reprogrammed via IDS :)

IDS is basically dealership level diagnostics equipment which costs thousands & thousands of pounds

Most Ford dealers won't touch it, some will but only if the "master technician" is willing to do it.
