Full service

Can someone please advise whats included in a full service on a 2013 fiesta with a 1.6 zetec engine?

I recently bought this fiesta from a ford dealership and it came with a years warranty. It's now time for a full service and mot and as the car is under warranty I believe I can have it serviced by any garage that's vat registered but they must also use ford service parts.

A garage has quoted me £240. Is that a fair price or do you think I could get it cheaper?

Thanks.

That sounds a bit pricey to me.   Have you had a quote from a Ford garage or the place you bought it from?

That will only be a brake fluid and coolant level check and top up for that price...something you can do yourself!

Minor service is only oil & filter change really, the rest is all just a visual check.

Ok that is what I need mainly should I consider major service ?? They change spark plugs etc

You don't have spark plugs on a diesel.  They would change the fuel filter and air filter on the major service.  Air filter you can change yourself but fuel filter is a bit more difficult, do you know when either of those were last changed?

I changed air filter myself with K&N filter, but fue filter not sure will for sure tell ford on my service to change it deffo

Ok well it's up to you then, you can either go for the minor and have the fuel filter changed another time if you feel it getting blocked, or go for the major service, not sure if they'll knock any money off for not needing the airfilter changed though.

I have minor service + tell them to change fuel filter with the minor service its good to have it changed I am not sure if it has been changed the car has been looked after have stamps from ford ecery year need to check what kind of service if he serviced it as major then it was changed need to chceck tomorrow

After being bitten by a garage some years ago who said our car had been serviced but serviced incorrectly, original plugs was cleaned up & refitted - original oil filter cleaned outside but new oil put in engine - original air filter blasted clean put back in,  I now mark up all the parts with a blue paint pen! After a service I check everything that they are new. So far Ford have changed what needed changing. Don't use a garage you don't know about their past history in ripping customers off.

I don't usually trust garages as far as I can throw them (which isn't far, I'm pretty weak lol) but that's unbelievable!

Garage which robbed me nolonger exists mate! Thank god! Trading Standards raided on this local garage and shut it down, in the back of the garage was shelving after shelving full of used but clean air/fuel filters and sets of spark plugs in wooden holders, all the shelving had writing on the wood what suitable filters/plugs can be fitted into vehicles... ready to be fitted into some poor guys car.

Also in the back rooms was used engine oil which was being filtered and used oil put back in big drums.

No bull mate and I thought I was getting a bargin service, Too right I was and all the money I gave the mechanic went into his pocket

11500 but should be near 12500 when it goes in on 2/09th, Bought it from Jennings Ford but they are 25mls away and traffic is bad @ drop off time so booked into Bristol Street Ford only 7mls away.

About time I done 6k nearly and booked for service in 2 august

Mines 12mths old on 11/11/16 but really enjoy driving this little ecoboost,it's like a go cart lol. Haven't done no mods other than change the interior lights and foot well lights to blue & a set of moulded mud flaps. I have a stainless steel twin tail pipe coming tomorrow  so will be cutting the end off the current tailpipe and welding the stainless pipe on. Will mean cutting the rear valance but it should cut neat with a template. I've had some nice cars in my time, but I love this little motor & will be ordering another once this hits 3yrs old.
