Noise when lifting off accelerator

Hello all

The issue is with my 2007 focus 1.6 zetec (5-speed manual) 

When i lift my foot off the accelerator in gear there is a noise coming from under the bonnet. It sounds like a constant 'vvvvvvvv'. the noise disappears instantly when I disengage the clutch. Can't seem to find answers surfing the web, thought i would come here see if someones maybe had a similar issue.

I have spent a lot of time looking on this site and it has been a great help to me doing little mods to my car, keep up the good work
