Guys I've recently brought my 1st ZS, although I'm happy with it I want to do the usual !Removed! and upgrade it.  I'm looking into a remap but want to get a induction kit 1st and maybe a bigger intercooler any ideas welcome but mainly need names of parts or part numbers for the induction kit

As its the 1.6 TDCi (eg DV6 engine), the very first thing you should do is give the engine a complete service, especially the oil, ensure that you get very high quality oil and decent filters otherwise you will have an engine with very expensive issues.

Cheers mate.  I need to get it on a ramp and double check that it's the sump,  I've jacked it up and it does look like that but I think it a job I can handle myself and do a mini service onit. It's running pretty sweet as it is but there's always something to be done lol

Hope it had a good, proven service history, as mentioned above there are a few issues that could prove costly if these engines are not well serviced!

there video I made when I find out that its leaking you can see clearly in video oil dripping from the screw

Probably find that someone has reused the crush washer meaning that its not a perfect seal - do a full oil change and replace the crush washer with a new one.

Unfortunately I didn't get any history with it but I will be contacting the previous owner to ask if they just forget to give it me

I would check through everything from top to toe then - perhaps look into getting an OBD2 reader and see if there are any codes etc. I would get some cheap (but correct grade) fully syn oil, do an oil and filter change, then after a few thousand miles do another oil change with some decent oil and change the filter out. This should clean out the engine internally and get rid of anything that might be an issue further down the road.

Also run your number plate etc through the government MOT history check - it can sometimes show if anything has been repaired previously, you can also check the yearly mileage between MOTs to see what sort of driving the car might have done.

Thanks for this.  I did do the most checks becore buying it its had a few things changed.  I have a mate brining a reader down for me to check it out and I'm going to change the oil once I find the exact cause of this leak, I haven't got it on the rd just yet so getting it in the air is somewhat of a challenge lol
