Mk4 air con drip

Featured Replies

My GF's 2001 Mk4 has started dripping in the passenger foot well when using the air con. I can only assume that this is condensation as there is no water in the system and it works. It has been fookin hot yesterday and today so I guess the air con has been working hard but why is it dripping inside the car? .

air con drain will be blocked

Aah. Nice one. Will get it on the ramps at the weekend. Thanks.

Hmm. Found the little pipe under the car. I think it was the correct one because it had water dripping from it. It didn't feel blocked but it did feel as though it had a 90 degree bend about three inches up. Anyway I had a poke around and my poker was wet with water. She took the car out today and is still getting a river in her passenger foot well. There is no info in the Haynes so could it be blocked somewhere else and if so why was the drain pipe wet?

More ideas please, peeps.
