Electric Mirrors clicking

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiesta Ghia 2008.  When i lock my car the electric mirrors fold in, the passengers side folds in all the way then starts clicking about 7 times as if its trying to turn more.  I know this post has been covered before but I was looking for someone who has done this so they can talk me though it.

I found these instructions on another forum, the problem I have with these instructions is when i reconnect the loom the mirror doesnt fold back:

take off the mirror control panel

disconnect the loom

set the mirror all the way forward to the front on the car

lock the car then plug the loom back in

the mirror should then fold all the way in

disconnect the loom and unlock the car then fold the mirror all the way forward again

lock the car and reconnect the loom

this time the mirror will only come to the normal open position

disconnect the loom again

unlock the car

fold the mirror in to the closed position

reconnect the loom

lock the car

Anyone whos done this please help!  Cheers
