Sound proofing/dampening Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm wondering how I could sound proof/dampen the interior of Ford Fiesta Mk6

This stuff!

Just remove front & rear boot carpets & side panels, dust down and apply this black matting, will contour to any shape and is adhesive backed, this stuff will cut down noise & vibration considerably.

Worked wonders on our car

Has your car got the under bonnet sound deadening panel which is fitted to higher range vehicles ? If not get one as this really quietens the engine.

Will the carpets and side panels go back after fitting this stuff?

Yes it's only about 3mm in depth, the drum panels get stuck on the inside of any accessible area's behind the panel trim.

Just bang any metal panels to see if the they sound hollow! This stuff is also good for stopping vibrating parts like wire harness clips.

Thanks Ian.
