P0030 O2 Sensor

Featured Replies

AA came out to car as engine management light on.  Told me it was a problem with sensor but car ok to keep driving and just get sorted at next MOT.  However engine management light has gone from solid to flashing.  Will it still be OK to keep driving?

Not sure why it is flashing, but a faulty O2 sensor could put the car into limp mode. You can buy a good named sensor like Bosch or NGK for about 75 pound.

No, is the general consensus!

Flashing seems to indicate a more urgent fault. Misfiring that can damage the expensive catalytic convertor is mentioned in several places.

I advise either finding out exactly what the code is, or taking it to a reliable garage as soon as possible.
