Steering rack removal

Featured Replies

Has anyone removed a rack from a 2011 fiesta?  I want to know if it will slide out of the side or if the sub-frame has to be dropped.

subframe needs dropping 150mm

Got to ask....... Why ?

Can the back of the frame be dropped only or lower the lot.  Also, with the extra 150mm will the rack come out of the side or will come out of the 150mm gap between the body and the frame?

As to why, the rack has an internal clanging similar to this, but not as loud.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo_DBlkaNGk
