Featured Replies

Hi

I am having problems with the insurance currently I am paying 140 a month no claim bonus (because I changed 3 cars and opened new policy always), this time is not any different there is 3 months left on my current policy ending december now 3rd I gived them the ST150 reg they said additional 580£ over 3 months ! Which comes to around 320-340£ A MONTH for 3 months ! I done quote on compare website came up as £250 deposit £103 a month which is perfect what I am thinking is either keep my policy pay at least £400 the rest in monthly or should I cancel and lose my no claim. Bonus then again I need to start again ! Which is pain ! What to do I am buying the car tomorrow help me guys !

Wow i cant beleive insurance these days,i pay £180 Full comp a year for a Jimny & £220 fully comp for a 2015 fiesta titanium x 125.Being an old !man! has its benifits.

Remember that they will charge you a cancellation fee.But if it works out better for you then go for it.

Yeah plus they want cancellation. Fee £75 I am starting to think I will stay as I would need to pay 75 + 250 deposit dor new policy so I will pay 400 tomorrow plus 180 spread over 3 months then have bonus and i been quoted with 1 year bonus £80 month which for me is perfect

My bro did this also. I say stick with ur insurance for that no claims bonus i no its costly but u need it. Especially with a st150 ur to close to end to not do it

Insurance companies are a nightmare. They charge the earth once they have you, knowing you're pretty much trapped. What annoys me even more is at renewal time, when they give you a mad quote, which you can immediately better by going on a comparison site.  Except it's a quote from your own insurer and it is also a lot cheaper there than what they offer you in your renewal pack!

What was their quote like on the price comparison website? You may be able to shave a little off if you can point out they're cheaper online - just get their own quote and pro-rata it.  This is what I plan to do when I pick up my Titanium X (fingers crossed by the end of next week) if they want to play games :)
