How to improve your cars audio greatly but cheaply

Featured Replies

I've had the audio equipment taken out of my car today as the car is going soon.

The original speakers were put back in but with the Boom Mats too (they were put in by mistake).

The front doors have been sound deadened.

The sound? Ruddy excellent.

So. Sound deaden the doors and fit Boom Mats and it'll improve the sound massively.

Also has the added bonus of reduced road noise as well ;-)

Any recommendations as to where to buy from and is there a specific "kit" for a new 3.5 Focus?

I'm not sure about a car specific kit but sound deadening sheets/rolls are available from either online or car audio shops as are the Boom Mats. Boom Mats come in different sizes to fit specific speakers.

Cheers, I had never heard of this before.
