2013 Key Fob Program Mode?

2013 C-Max Titanium 1.6 TDCi

Purchased over the weekend from dealer only to find the second key fob not responding. Opened it up to find no battery inside, inserted brand new but car still not responding to it.

Now i've looked through many many sites without any clear indication of how to enabled a key program mode in this car.

The titanium model has a START button only, with the traditional key/tumbler location having a fob caddy/holder slot but otherwise does nothing more. So i can't switch the car to position 2 like i keep reading.

Any idea's?

I believe the keless entry and start cars requires a diagnostics session with Ford IDS to program the remote fob functions. So dealer only is most likely on a 2013 car.
