Fiesta mk7 parking sensor problems

Featured Replies

I've got a fiesta titanium with factory fit front and rear sensors. When pressing the button on the dash or selecting reverse, the dash button flashes constantly and there is a tone followed by seven shorter tones.

I've put my ear to the sensors and there is continous clicking from the rear ones as there should be however all 4 front sensors are silent. Does this mean one of the front sensors is faulty and the system has shut all 4 off or does it mean something else is wrong? I've checked wiring and multi plugs and found no damage or corrosion.

Thanks for any help or advice!

My system went faulty, the front speaker had a short in the coil. The tones are a pointer to the fault.

Check the speaker, its behind the coin box by your right knee.

That speaker is where the 7 tones are coming from. As it's sounding loud and clear, I presume there is nothing wrong with it? I don't suppose there is any reference online to help me decipher what the 7 tones are trying to tell me?
