Susiebird
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this site so forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere already. I've got an '07 Fiesta. One of my colleagues told me that my back left brake light wasn't working. I've replaced it with a new bulb (p21/5w). It now works but is way less bright than the right hand one. Anyone know why this could be? I'm not brilliant at car maintenance but can do basics.... Cheers.
MarksST
Try taking it out, turning 180 degrees and refitting, it's a 2 filament lamp so you might have the brake and sidelight the wrong way round.
Susiebird
Thanks but that was my first thought. It only fits one way.
Bobr
It's almost certainly an earthing problem. Try cleaning all the connections.

Ffoxy
At some point there'll be a wire that's connected to the car body, if the indicated flashes fine on the affected side then that's probably OK. But check around all the wiring around the unit. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC mobile app
