Hi can any of you help me please?

My daughter as finally seen sense and got rid of her Mini and bought a 2010 Zetec S.

It hasn't got the USB port but does have the line 3.5 in but when she presses the Aux on the stereo nothing happens?

Press CD,, Radio and Menu etc and it changes straight away but the Aux seems dead..

    The aux is dependent on source volume, is the connected device volume up to maximum?

    If I press the Aux on mine it comes up straight away but nothing on hers..

    It may be of help to someone in the future,, I pressed the VC button in with the command external device and not sure if it was just luck or not but it's been working for her since...
