Bluetooth Aerial on stereo, can you boost reception.

Featured Replies

I did put a topic on here saying my Bluetooth signal is low a lot of the times meaning that the phone either drops the contact when speaking or don't dial.

Its out of pocket on the seat, can some one direct me to some booster if there is one that would work the same through car stereo but with a better Arial.

The antenna is built in to the module, there is no aerial. The signal should not be weak, it should cover the whole car.

There must be either a fault or some sort of interference.

What phone are you using Jason? Is it compatible with your bluetooth. What version of sync do you have ?

Use this to see if your phone is comparable with your version of sync  https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/phone/phones-compatible-with-sync.html?year=2011&model=Fiesta&sync=voiceNav#?year=2011&model=Fiesta&syncGen=

I use the iPhone 6s and aint got a clue what sync it is all i know its the Sony head unit and my car is a 2011 titanium.

For interference all i have close is the tracker on 24/7 or dash cam but would they make the signal lower,it works but mainly on

2 or 3 bars very rare full so a weak area it drops.

Bluetooth does not show signal strength.

Do you mean your cellular signal strength, to the mobile network?

The bluetooth uses your phone to connect to the network.

Yes the signal bar on the radio is low and in a bad area i loose it so if im talking it ends the call or just wont connect.

I did ask on here a few weeks ago asking if i could put a better aerial on but was told its built in to the module on the radio and a small thing.

I just want a better signal on the bars, Bluetooth is always connected (Blue icon)

The signal showing on the radio is the signal strength of your phone on the mobile network, nothing to do with the car or bluetooth signal

So right,i knew there is no signal strength for the Bluetooth its just connected or not,the signal on the radio is the network in the area but is it picking

it up through the car aerial or the module or something on the radio as my phone is ok but through radio its very low and drops the signal,i apologize

if its a bit up and down but i asked this before and was told to get a item to plug in to make it better and just wanted to see what it was.

The mobile network signal is because of your phone.

The car just acts as a bluetooth headset.

Nothing you can do with the car to improve mobile reception as it's the phone making the connection.

Ok i see now, just showing you not doing anything, will have to look at this to see if the Bluetooth light goes off when i loose signal so

then i have lost Bluetooth connection rather than signal, thanks a lot Alex it does make me look at a few other things that could be doing this.
