Hi guys, not sure if this is in the right place or not, just need some help. 

 

got my dad an alpine stereo for his birthday, ordered the fitting kit from dynamic sound.

now, its an identical kit, to go in an identical car (apart from it being an estate) 

my car is a 07 plate, his is a 57 plate

the issue i have is the clips on the fascia are in completely the wrong place, and the steering wheel adaptor doesn't work. 

is this likely to be because it is on a 57 plate? the stereo he had in the was more of a curved shape, where as mine was square...

 

please help as he is without radio at the moment!!

    it would indicate the kit is for the mk 2.5, rather than the mk2.
