Hey guys as you can see iv got a slight problem iv got the radio trim removed but the AC trim that goes down to the gear stick wont come off i dont want to go guns blazing but i cant find any videos on it either any help would be appreciated

just held in place with 6 or 8 metal clips. just lever it off carefully. i hate those metal clips!!

That looks very a very neat job there Alex. It blends in very well, unlike some of the horrible colour's I have see used.

Are you going to do that top bit above as well ?

I tryed to do it but where it drops down to the screen it gets really fiddily im going to get a new role after all the trim i want to do is done ill do that in two sections i think any one got any tips for that particular part

I'm trying to remove the trim around the AC unit as well to fix a problem with it.  Is it possible to remove the trim piece that sits between the radio and AC unit which has the passenger air bag light on it.  I've tried prying it of but it just doesn't seem to want to pop off easily. I was wondering if its attached to one of the other pieces.

Any help greatly appreciated

There is a few threads about this. Try looking for "secret compartment". There is even a guide somewhere.

yh i had slight difficulties with this piece as well. there is a clip at the top of this piece bang in the middle then when that's off there is two clips that can bee popped off, don't know if that made any sense.

I've tried this again but it just doesn't seem to want to come off.  I have a 2013 plate so not sure if the 'secret compartment' still has the hinges at the bottom or if its held on by clips.

Does anyone have pictures or a video of opening this compartment on a 2013 plate?

no worries here to help lol, the first time i did it i was praying nothing broke haha

Have managed to get all the trim off and removed the four screws holding the ac/heater controls in place but does anyone know how to actually remove it.  Ive tried just pulling it but it only comes out so far and then stops. I think the 2 cables at the back are too short for it to just pull out but I can't see how you would disconnect them, the space is just too small to get your hand in.

you need to unclip the cables from the other end ( on the heater box ends)

Is the heater box easily accessible? don't actually know where it is or how to disconnect the heater controls
