Standard spec on 2011 Fiesta Titanium?

Featured Replies

Firstly, I should apologise in advance. I'm about to by my first car and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Apologies for the possibly stupid questions :)

I'm looking to buy my first car and I think I've decided on a Fiesta Titanium from around 2011. The problem is, I'm struggling to find a definitive list of the standard features for this car and year. Autotrader listings show things like Driver Convenience and Exterior Features but a disclaimer below them says that those are the "usual specification of the most recent model of this vehicle" so they're not all that helpful. Sometimes they also seem to be incomplete and don't list a basic feature that I know that model/year should have.

From what I've read, the Fiesta was last "refreshed" in 2009 but I assume I'm correct in thinking that that doesn't mean it's remained the same since then. What you get in a 2009 model isn't the same as what you get in a 2011 model or a 2012 model, for example.

Is there anywhere that I can find a definitive list of everything that was included as standard on a Fiesta Titanium and what was added each year? I can't decide if, for example, it's worth spending more and getting a 2012 model instead of a 2011 one. The main features I'm keen on having are

  • ISOFIX mountings
  • USB
  • Bluetooth
  • Voice control
  • Quick-clear windscreen
  • Hill start assist
  • A/C
  • Auto wipers/headlights
  • Keyless entry (not a biggie, but it would be nice)

Sorry for the long post. Thanks for your help.

Standard equipment can be tweaked every few months.

  • USB and bluetooth were options on my 2010 Fiesta, not sure when they became standard.
  • Quick clear has always been standard on Titanium.
  • You won't get Hill start on a 2011.
  • A/C should be standard on Titanium, might not be EATC though.
  • Auto wipers/lights were standard on my 2010, so you should be good on that
  • Keyless entry has always been optional on Titanium.

Hello and welcome Andrew

If you know the registration or Vin of the vehicle you want to buy, then you can use Ford Etis to look exactly what the car left the factory with.

Depending on what country you are in, you may have to change to that country under Preferences https://www.etis.ford.com/options.do

Thank you both for your replies. That Etis tool is very helpful. Hasn't found all the reg numbers I've tried but the details it has found are very comprehensive.

What country are you in ?

Brakes automatically hold the car on an incline to stop you rolling back for a few secs.

Legal requirement on all new cars now.

Blimey! This is totally a new one on me! Where have I been all these years! Thanks Alex.

Hill start assist is standard on a 2013 titanium but if you want keyless entry you need Titanium X

In the dark mainly :backofnet:

Personally, if you have a handbrake that works, I cant see the point of hill start assist.   I have it on my car and have only used it once just to see if it works.   It does.

It's quite useful if you stop for lights or something and it changes just as you stop. Saves a few secs of having to put the handbrake on.

Also quite handy for manoeuvring on a slope.

Is there a button for the HSS, if so where. I have a 2013 TIT X ?

It will be in the vehicle settings on the radio if you have it.

Cheers for that

Hill start assist? Utter garbage, you can either drive or you can't.

Legal requirement ? Pffffffffft. Madness.

"if you want keyless entry you need Titanium X"

My 2014 Tit has it. It also has other *rap that you don't need.

Auto wipers? Auto lights? Auto dimmiing rear view mirror? Phone crap, MP3 crap. Must be for dummies.

Why the hell I went for a 2014 Tit I dunno.

Actually, it's the best car I ever bought in 50 years
