PROGRAMMING KEYS

Featured Replies

Please can someone help me? I have a Fiesta Freestyle 2001 Y, recently I've programmed a second hand key fob which now opens and closes all the doors and boot. Although the key fob is working, the actual key does not start the car anymore. I have two further keys, one has a red corner which does start the car and also a spare which doesn't. What can i do to get my key working again?

Thanks

Alcoman

sounds like the keys transponder has not been programmed to the car

not 100% sure these can be programmed yourself.

the key is not prog into the PATS system, if you have 2 prog keys already you can add this one your self, if you onloy have 1 then a Ford dealer needs to carry this out on IDS.

If you have 2 keys you need to enter the forst one into the ignition an turn from posistion 0 to 2 and back to 0 and remove, do the same for with the second key and then your non programmed 3rd, taking no oonger the 10 secs with each one, this will then allow all the keys to start
