Hey guys,

I wonder if anyone here could shed some light on an issue that's been frustrating the hell out of me with my car!

I recently bought a new fiesta zetec s red edition 140ps!

The very first day I had my car (7 miles on the clock) I had a minus outside temperature displayed on my dash, my traction control switched itself off staying off and my hill assist switched off! I returned the car and it had its ecu flashed and all was ok!

A couple of days later my outside temperature was back to displaying minus degrees... Long story short I have had the car back into the dealer 4 times as this keeps happening, 3 times with minus temperature and had it flashed! The fourth time the display had (--) and no number! I had a ecu flash AGAIN and they disconnected/reconnected my sensor and was working again! The very next day guess what back to minus temperatures!

This will now be the 5th time I've had to return to the dealer (well in 8 days as that's the earliest they had) for an issue that they just keep flashing the ecu! Now I'm no expert but that tells me it's not software related may be wrong! I'm getting angry that they have it in flash it and that's that! No one seems to be stepping back and thinking to themselves WHY does this keep happening?

Has anyone had this issue or can maybe she'd some light?

Btw the above photo was taken yesterday when it was 25oC plus... So no mr dash the roads are not icy lol!

They should have at least replaced the sensor by now.

Otherwise try a different dealer if you are not having much joy
