Brake Caliper Sliding Pin Boots

Featured Replies

Having to change the pads and discs on my girlfriends mk7 Fiesta I noticed that one of the slide pins is quite stiff and the rubber boot on it has split ....  can you buy the boots from ford on there own or are they part of a kit ?   Also what grease do people recommend to grease the slide pins I normally use pagid ceratec is this ok to use or would I be better using a silicon grease ?  Cheers

I dare say you can get them from Ford parts but whenever I've wanted to change my guide pins and rubber boots I've bought them from Brake Parts International.  They come in a kit for each caliper containing the guide pins, the boots and a sachet of grease
