Mileage and Speedo not working!!

Featured Replies

Hi guys and girls! I'm having a problem with my MK6 Fiesta 1.4 Zetec that i'm wanting to sell. The headgasket blew a couple of months ago so I replaced this and at the same time I replaced the clutch. All of this has gone well and is working as it should. After putting everything back together and running it up I noticed that the mileage is not showing, and the speedo is not working. The rest of the dash and clocks work fine. After doing some reading I cam to the conclusion that the VSS sensor needed replacing. After fiddling for a couple of hours I managed to replace the sensor for a new one. Still nothing works. I've checked all of the fuses and also tested the wiring harness to the sensor. All seems to work fine! I'm at the end of my tether now so am hoping someone can give me a bit of guidance on this as I'm fast losing interest in the !Removed! thing! PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance guys, and thanks for reading.

This could well be as simple as a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor on the gearbox.
