Hi all,

I've recently  got a mondeo st tdci mk3 it had new front springs and struts fitted not long before I got it and appear toy the esp light came on,I read that it could be it needed tracking to sort it,Well had the tracking done today and still got the esp light up,driven about 10miles.
Plugged it in on Snapon machine and still saying C1278 code steering wheel angle 1 and 2 signal fault,cleared code went for a drive and still same,any help would be so much appreciated

There should be a sensor on the steering wheel or steering column to detect steering angle. This has two outputs, 1 & 2. This DTC will be due to a difference between the two signals. It means there is either a fault in the angle sensor, or in the connectors & wiring to it, or, less likely, in the ABS / EPS / Vehicle dynamics module that the wiring goes to.
