Groaning sound from cmax

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

probably not the right place to post but just after some advice

had my 11 plate cmax titanium for around 6 months and it's started to make this sort of groaning noise when under pressure so for example, when turning right off a hill or turning out of a junction, 3 point turns on hills or pulling away on hills and also put it it in 3rd and tried pulling away and it made a terrible racket.  It also only seems to start once I've been on the road a while so when warmed up and doesn't do it every time.

my partner does a lot with cars and he had a listen (took ages to do it thought I was imagining it!) and says it's not the clutch.  He had a look at the engine bay but can't get it to make the noise when just sitting with the engine on and revving or turning the steering wheel so can't see if anything is wrong.

anyone had similar and can shed some light?

Thanks

what triggers the groan? is it steering, or moving related? or does it happen stationary or moving?
