Fiesta Zetec MK7 Seat Belt issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've got a 2009 Fiesta Zetec MK7 1.4 TDCI. Basically, I will have my seat belt on but the seat belt alarm will constantly keep beeping whilst driving. I've tried turning the seat belt alarm off by putting it in ignition and putting the seat belt on and off 9 times (Sometimes I have to put the seat belt on and off more than 9 times for the seat belt light to flash on the dashboard). Anyway turning off the seat belt warning indicator doesn't do anything and the car will still constantly beep telling me to put my seat belt on when I already have it on.

Any ideas?

Cheers

First thing check under the seat for any loose or damaged wiring.

Next try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to reset the GEM module.
