Electric handbrake

Featured Replies

Hi i am new here and i need some help, i have worked on the electric handbrake on my 2005 c-max it did not work when i bought the car but found the problem in the box under the car fixed it and connected the power and tried the brake and then i realized i have made a stupid mistake i have taken the cables of the calibers so now they are wounded so tight and i can not find a way to relase them (have tried the handle in the car) what can i do?

I think you need to use the brake service option found in diagnostic programs like elmconfig etc

I can se where you are going i have access to a Texa tester but it dont have the option to reverse the electric motor in the brakeunit so i can get the cables out again, so if there were a sort of manuel relase way to get the cables loose again.

Sorry fore my bad english hope you can understand the most of it:smile:
