Park pilot problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a 2011 cmax 1.6tdci titanium. I noticed last night the yellow warning symbol was illuminated. The screen says park pilot inoperative, requires service. Sure enough, reverse sensors not working. I gave the sensors a clean but still no joy. Anyone else had this problem and can point me in the right direction to resolve this ?

Thanks, Neil.

sounds like it could be a single faulty sensor.

Given that its out of warranty, I would recommend disconnecting each sensor in turn then trying to operate the park pilot, its likely one of the sensors is at fault, and this will help you find which.

Thanks for that. I'll try that. Problem is, the fault is intermittent, works when it feels like it !
